Here is a new drawing I’m working on. I’m gonna throw up my progress every couple of days to pressure myself to finish her by a certain deadline. She is 20 x 29 in. on watercolor paper. A gentle woman at heart, cross her and feel the wrath of her mace!

Hi there.  So I just received this book today from Italy.  It’s my very first Italian publication!  I was asked by Rizzoli Publishing House to use an illustration of mine for the book, “Il Profilo del Tartufo”, which translates to “The Profile of the Truffle”.  It’s a geopolitical thriller that combines suspense, good wines and truffles.  The author, Mercedes Bresso, as well as the book takes place in the region of Piemonte.  They felt my illustration fit this regions landscape well, and decided to alter my colors to an overall reddish hue, to accentuate the two important themes of the book, murder and wine.  I was happy and flattered to accept.  I only wish I knew Italian so I could read the book.  Thanks for looking.
